When God sends you part 1

Ezekiel 2:1-7
Before you can go and and do what God has sent you to do, you need the Spirit to enter into you and set you upon your feet - meaning you need to be anointed...
And one of the ways of being anointed is by hearing the word of God aka soaking messages (listening to msgs over and over and over)
And then to be set upon your feet -
Eph 6:15 talks about your feet being shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace....
Setting u on feet and readying you for the task ahead...
Preparation in Greek = Endunamoo which is to acquire strength or be strengthened...
Be anointed and prepared as you take on the work of God in Jesus Name.

One reason why you should have your quiet time.

Not doing your quiet time is
likened to wearing a weak helmet of Salvation. Your head, the most important part of your body is less protected. If the devil attacks your head and wins he has total access to u. He attacks your mind interface (sounding geeky 😏) and that's his point of entry.

The helmet we wear as Christians is the helmet of Salvation. Salvation is being delivered from sin and it's consequences and taking and making Christ your Lord and Personal Saviour. And quiet time is a demonstration of your Personal relationship with God. If u don't have your quiet time, there's a weakened relationship between you and God. And so a weakened relationship with your Personal Savior, resulting in a weak helmet of Salvation and then the devil easily hacks into your head and does stuff. Protect your head. Do your quiet time.

Life tip

Everything happening in my life now is a learning process.

The Bible makes us understand that there's nothing new under the sun; that everything that has happening now will probably happen again. It then presupposes that, things that are happening in my life now are going to happen again so the it is wise to learn from what is happening now so you can stand in the future

Being Spiritual

adapted from (How to become a Strong Christian)

1 Cor 3:1
And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.

I read this verse and asked myself these questions,
Who then is a spiritual person?
Someone who got his mind on spiritual things.

What are those spiritual things?
uurmmm the things in the Bible, His word?

What things?, Where are they?
Its like saying there is gold under the earth. It is true there is gold under the earth but if I ask you to dig on any surface of the earth, there is an 85-90% chance that you will not find anything! Gold miners know which part of the earth the gold is.

That is the problem with us Christians of today. We know where the solution is. Most of our answers we give to people redirects back to the Bible but as to which part of the Bible... ?  It's almost our default answer to every problem.

How do you close to God?
Read His word!

How do you become a spiritual
Read His word!

How do you grow in Spirit
Read His word!

How do you his plan for you?
Read His word!

How do you pray?
Read His word!

....

.... and wealth of other questions that has the same answer and Why Not?
The Bible has a wealth of solutions. It's our manual! The Bible has 66 books with 1,189 chapters and 31,102 verses. What combinations of these numbers will give you the gold you are looking for?

okay So how do we fix it?
You need to know where the gold is in order to mine it.

urm How?
Learn the locations of the portion of the word that ministers to you, that solved your problem, that made a change in your life. The truth is if any portion of scripture really speaks to you, you will remember it without a shadow of doubt. The most memorable things in our lives are the things we cherished, we loved, we enjoyed etc and so we remember to relive those experiences. The same has to be with the word. Look at a scripture in Luke 4:17 .

And the book of the prophet Isaiah was handed to Him. And He opened the book and found the place where it was written.

My emphasis is on "He Opened the book and FOUND the PLACE where it was written... Jesus Opened the Book(the word/Bible) and he FOUND the PLACE. There was a specific place. and He found it. That place he found was what was needed at that moment for someone's problem to be solved.

So a challenge is thrown at you. That every time you feel like redirecting someone to the bible as a solution to his/her problem, add the PLACE where the GOLD is.

Be Encouraged.

Thank You Holy Spirit!

You are called

February 12, 2016

YOUR RESPONSE?

Dag Heward-Mills

READ: Luke 12:41-48

That ye might walk worthy of the Lord uto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work...

Colossians 1:10

If you were God and you had six billion people to save, what would you do? Would you send one or two people to save them or would you send a lot of people? Of course, you would send many people into the fields of harvest. And that is exactly what God has done. He has called many people!

Do not be deceived by the few pastors you see sitting on the front rows of churches. That always gives the impression that a few have been called, or that the majority of the congregation have not been called. Actually , it is the exact opposite. Many , and not just a few pastors, are called to the work of saving the world.

Sadly , most pastors treat their congregations as people who do not have a call. They relate to them as people who cannot do much for God. Most pastors teach their congregations how to have “a better life”. Much of the preaching is about ourselves, our lives, our marriages, our homes, our finances, etc. This kind of preaching is what creates the large, selfish and barren congregations of today.

“And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein” (Genesis 9:7). There is a call to fruitfulness. What is your response?

Harvestimg

HARVESTING
Dag Heward-Mills
READ: john 4:34:42John 4:34-42
He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame
Proverbs 10:5
You must have a megachurch because your harvest field is the world. God sent us to the whole world. If we had a small field to harvest from, then we could not expect a large quantity of harvested fruits.
The fact that the entire world is to be reached implies that the harvest of souls that we will bring in must be very large. It will definitely be a major portion of the world’s population. If a major section of the world’s population is to be saved through the preaching of the gospel, then every church should be bursting at the seams for lack of space. Remember that there are over six billion souls out there waiting for us to reach them with the gospel.
You must have a megachurch because the biblical example of churches had thousands of members. Is the early church not the best example for us to follow? If the early church had three thousand and five thousand people, should these numbers not serve as a guiding post for us? Indeed, these numbers are recorded in the Bible so that we may know what to aim for.
You must have a megachurch because having a large church means that more souls have been won to the kingdom. In a large church there will be more services, more altar calls and more opportunities to be saved than in a small church. Is it not the aim of every minister of the gospel to win souls to the Lord? Is it not an extra added blessing that a megachurch leads to the salvation of many people who join it?

Work for God

READ: Revelation 22:12-14

And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

Revelation 22:12

What are we called to do? Are we all called to be apostles, prophets, evangelists and teachers? The answer is a simple, “No.” Most of us do not have these fantastic high callings. We are all simply called to be fruitful. There is a call to fruitfulness.

If we were to follow our Christian teachings to their logical conclusions, most Christians would become sacrificial and do something for God. The saddest, and perhaps, ugliest feature of many Christians today is how little we do for Christ. We have been saved by an amazing act of love and grace, but we are not prepared to give up anything to save others. It is so sad to see Christians waste their lives away , doing nothing for the Lord.

God’s admonition to us is to use the time we have on earth to do as much for Him as possible. We must work while it is day. The only wise thing to do with your life is to redeem the time for the work of the Lord. Unfortunately , many people do not treat time and opportunity as a special commodity . Time is something rare and precious, which God gives to all of us. It is the only thing you cannot regain or get back. When it is gone, it is gone forever.

You must redeem the time because that is the only wise thing to do with your life.

“You don’t need to hear a call; you’re already called.”

Oh Holy SPIRIT, your presence

Oh Holy SPIRIT, you presence...

Thy presence felt from deep within
Knowing its there but can't explain
You come around and I feel so comforted
You touch my heart in ways never felt
You do it every time but doesn't feel the same each time
You knock out my very pain
Break every chain
You do this again and again
This grace I thus obtain

Oh Holy SPIRIT you are welcome
Come, be, and fill the space
The space all around me
Me, Me, mySelf and I

When you are close
My heart doth not close
My voice ever sounding
With melodies divinely planted
I savor every bit of your presence
I won't let you go
No no never
I cry out to YOU.
I long for this every time

Holy Spirit, the inspirer of these words
What more is there to say
Than just to lie in your presence
And the tears flow
Tears not of sadness oh no no
Not sure I can tell you what it is
But whatever it is,
I love it, I live it, I long for it

In the quietness of my soul I rest
With each passing breath
I show the world, YOU, at best

I Love your presence
