Topic: Do not conform to this world.

Passage: Romans 12 : 1 - 3  Gal 5:19    2Tim 3 : 2 - 5

In verse one we see that the Lord is talking about our body. Before that be aware that man is composed of body, spirit and has a soul. With these in place He is asking us to make the body as living sacrifice. That means the Spirit part of man should take priority of our lives in our everything no matter what the body will feel about it. Remember that the Lord the this as a sacrifice and know that no acceptable sacrifice is cheap or no costly, understood? That means the body has to go through some pain(plain plain.. Fasting and all that!!). This is our spiritual service. Remember God is serve in Spirit and in Truth. You can't serve God in flesh.

The word continues say we should not conform to the pattern of this world. See out of this pattern are we going to be deceived. First of all what can you describe as a pattern? Stuffs that are verily accepted by all because that is what has been done over time. These patterns contain gateways that the devil can use to deceive many. Like the advent of technology. The devil is making people believe that the answers of today's problems are in technology instead of God and go into our churches today and you will see. More patterns awaits us in the world and I pray that the Lord opens our eyes to see them and retract away from them.

Remember also that once a person is saved, his/her heart is changed but the mind is still the same and must change. The renewal of the mind will cause you to entertain what is good and well-pleasing in the sight of God.

What did he mean when he talked about the fact that we shouldn't think of ourselves more highly than we ought to think but to think reasonably(Romans 12 : 3) as God has apportioned to each person a measure of faith? (#reflections)
