Seasons

Well, welcome to this new post. I hope you find it enjoyable, pleasing and a blessing to read this post.

You know there is a time and season for everything. There is the raining season, dry season, there's winter, summer, lean season, etc. You have got to know the season you are in at every point in time. As Christians, there is something that God is up to at every point in time concerning your very life and have to flow with it. So I would like to share my current season with you. Its interesting how God reveals the season you are in to in. It is characterized by the physical things that you see around. You got to see beyond what you see in the physical. You see, these physical things are a shadow of the real spiritual things. Just like a shadow in real life, it gives a silhouette of the actual figure.

I would like to begin with how I detected it and how I am flowing with it. One morning as I started to do my quiet time using the Daily Guide devotional from SU (Thank you SU), I noticed the scripture used for that particular day really was related to my what was happening in my life physically. Usually most people would ignore this and let it go as a co-incidence. But don't forget before that "co incidence" occurred, God knew it would happen so...? (I am trying to point out to you that if that was truly a co-incidence, then God was really surprised!) Now, there was this decision that I had to make and I was struggling as to what choice to make and so of course I contacted God about it and the answer came through my quiet time. You know as humans sometimes we want a second confirmation or more proof just to be super-sure like Thomas. So it happen that I was led to read a book by Bishop Dag Heward Mills (Great Man of God) and it spoke extensively about the decision I had to make and so from then on, I figured God is trying to deal with me on that particular subject. (You realise that some info is missing in this post. You were not expecting I would share my really really deep parts of my life, were you?) I would describe the season I am in right now as Losing, Suffering, Sacrifice, Dying (L.S.S.D) season. Yep. It looks quite unnatural right. You see you've got realize early in life that as a Christian that not everything will go your way and not everything you experience by virtue of the fact that you are christian will be enjoyable. You are likely not to like most of the experiences you go through as a christian or a disciple of Christ. This is to fulfill scripture you know. Jesus while on earth said, foxes and birds have a place where they can lay their heads but the Son of man has NOWHERE to lay His head. Now he said this after someone asked if he could be His disciple. There were times where Jesus said there were times where you would be losing the very things or people you hold precious. You see there are somethings that if you don't decide to lose consciously, you may be forced to lose it and that would hurt more that if you consciously let go. Be smart and clever.

There's one thing that I have learnt about seasons though. God shown me that with every season you are in, you get related problems associated with it. And also. it helps you discern the times regarding the season. I actually realized this truth when I got into this new season of Zeal and the Word. Just like a day after this season, there was a situation that required me to express my zeal that I proclaimed that I had. Now let me go details into this season. For the zeal, I told myself I will fight my way to make sure the wishes of God are accomplished especially for the campus church (LCI Ashesi Allos facebook page coming soon). Then one evening, getting close to the time for us to have our midweek service, I found out that the venue was locked, and there were no chairs in there. Now the chairs were in a room that had another programme going on. I had to make the decision of either waiting for them to finish (which wasn't anytime soon) or going in there and without shame ask to take some chairs out for another purpose
